Community
#HBCCares
Whether it is distributing water bottles on a hot day, cleaning up a school, serving our local first responders, or supporting a missionary to a foreign land, at Heritage Baptist Church, we strive to be a church that not only talks about love, but lives it out every day in our community.
HBC Cares started out of a desire to be more actively and lovingly involved in our community: doing things out of a heart of love with no strings attached. The HBC Cares motto is: "When the hand moves the heart." We believe that if we follow the God of love and we believe that love has affected our outlook on life, then it should be something to share to others around us.
COVID-19 RESPONSE
Serving meals to frontliners
As a church family, we were able to partner with Taqueria Los Pericos Restaurant in San Leandro to prepare over 1500+ meals and gift bags for frontliners around the community. Workers at local hospitals, local firehouses, and police stations received love, prayers, and some delicious food as we work together during this time of shutdowns and closures affecting our community.
We are thankful for all the volunteers, workers, and vendors who made this project possible.
